Yearbooks are Coming!
Yearbooks will be on sale Fridays in April and May for $21. They are sold during lunch in the commons. Make out all checks to "Lakeview Middle School".
It must be the end of the year, because the halls
are quickly filling with advertisements for the 2012 Lakeview Middle School
Yearbook! Here’s a resource for you to use as students and parents begin asking
you tough questions:
How does my student get a yearbook?
Students can preorder a yearbook for $21 (cash or check) during lunch on Fridays during April and May. There will also be a table available at the Awards Ceremony. Students may also purchase a yearbook during the yearbook signing in the office, or anytime the last week of school (also from the office).
When will he/she get a yearbook?
Yearbooks will be distributed during a signing event at the end of the school year. Yearbooks will not be distributed to any person before the event. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS for students moving, leaving early, etc. If the student is not present, he or she can pick up the yearbook during normal office hours in the summer, pick it up at the beginning of next school year, or
have it ponied to meet them at Park Hill South.
How do I figure out if I already ordered one?
Preorders are not available at Lakeview Middle School. No students were able to pre-order a yearbook.
What if we won’t be here the last week of school?
If the student is not present, he or she can pick up the yearbook during normal office hours in the summer, pick it up at the beginning of next school year, or have it ponied to meet them at Park Hill South. You may also send a signed noted with a reliable friend to pick up your student’s yearbook on the distribution day. However, if that student loses or damages the book, there will not be a replacement yearbook provided.
How do I make out the check?
$21 to Lakeview Middle School
What if we can’t afford one?
There will be several copies available through Care Team. Donations to provide students with yearbooks are welcome. There will also be a copy available for viewing in the Lakeview Middle School media center.
My students isn't getting a yearbook. Can he or she still attend the signing event?
Students who do not have a yearbook will still be able to attend the yearbook signing event. They will be provided with a blank "autograph book" to still be included in the activities.
Why does it cost so much more than Plaza’s?
Lakeview’s yearbooks are 64 full color pages with hardcovers. The glossy design is created using state of the art web design technology and is completely student created. The books are sold to students at
cost—no significant profit is gained by the school. In the event that all the yearbooks are sold, any proceeds are put back into the production costs (cameras, flash drives, technology upgrades).
Do we have to keep the receipt?
Yes. In the event that you have purchased a yearbook, but the school's records show you have not, than this is your evidence of purchase. If you do not have a reciept and you do not recieve a yearbook, it is the only way you will be able to get a yearbook. Sadly, memories can be faulty, and just because a student remembers paying for a book, without a receipt of purchase, we will not trust the memory alone.
What if I’m sick/on a field trip/have lunch detention on Fridays?
In rare cases where students did not receive an opportunity to purchase a yearbook, there will be additional times set up to order in the office. PLEASE do not send students with money to Mrs. Panther’s classroom. She doesn’t have the materials needed to collect money!
